"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

Thought for Today

It matters not what religion a presidential candidate is a part of. If he is not trusting in Jesus and he does not let his faith in Him lead this nation, he is not worthy of being the president of the United States.

  1. It's sad that you believe that, and so readily disregard Article Six of the Constitution of the country in which you live. The irony is that a secularly-minded president who understood the separation of church and state would protect your right to worship far more than an overt Christian would.

  2. It's always good to hear from you, JD, especially this time, since I thought you had abandoned my blog altogether. You would have great reason to question both my integrity and my faith, if I did not believe the above statement. As a born-again believer, I see God's way as being the only way anyone should live his life. That includes the leaders of this great nation. And being that every problem we are currently facing in America stems from moral instability, we need a godly leader now more than ever. I just pray that there will come a day when you, too, will understand this.

  3. I might also add that the idea of "separation of church and state" originated as a way to keep the government from interfering with the church; not the other way around. This nation was founded upon the Christian principles found in the Word of God, and I want to see this nation return to that mindset.
