"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

Why Atheists Hate the Word of God

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (Emphasis added.)

I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have heard atheists say that God’s Word is not infallible proof of His existence. The lost hate the Bible. Over the years, countless people have tried to destroy it. Some atheistic rulers have declared it illegal. And countless believers have been ridiculed, tortured, and even murdered for preaching what it says. If this Book were just like any other book, filled with made-up tales, then why has it always been so despised by those who do not believe it? The Bible is hated because it is true and because it condemns what this world loves—sin.

Adrian Rogers said, “I read other books, but the Bible reads me.” I would dare say I have never personally met the majority of the people who read this blog. I have no idea what your person life is like, but God does. And when I quote His Word, you cringe because His Word has just exposed you for who you really are and your conscience is now telling you that you need to get right with Him.

John 3:19 says, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” The self-righteous religious leaders of Jesus’ day hated Him because He exposed them for who they really were—sinners in need of a Savior. He was ultimately put to death on the cross for proclaiming to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

No, the Bible is not hated because it is not true; the Bible is hated because it is the ultimate truth and has the power to expose the lost for who they really are. Please, you know that you know what I am saying is true; listen to your conscience and come to Jesus before it is eternally too late for you. All you have to do is repent—turn completely from all sin—and trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you, and He will save you today and keep you saved forever.

Do you hate Bhagavad Gita? Do you hate Popol Vuh?

It is very probable that you do not hate those books; It is very probable you have never head about them, or read them! But because they are the sacred books of other religions you probably think that they are FALSE and do not believe in them. Period.

Considering something false does not means you hate something. That is a devious accusation to anybody who doesn't share your beliefs regarding a particular sacred book.

    > If this Book were just like any other book,
    > filled with made-up tales, then why has it
    > always been so despised by those who do not
    > believe it?

It is funny that you ask that. I think you have no idea how the Bible you have today in your hands take the shape it has.

In the first centuries of common era there were NO cannon of the Bible, and there were SEVERAL different Christian sects fighting each other about who were the real Christians. Each of them followed different sets of books, so there were not only 4 gospels, but several other. Finally the proto-orthodox Christianity who won the fight, and imposed their Christianity version (with the complicity of Constantine emperor) fixated which books were the True books, and any other was proscribed, and destroyed. All those lost books now are know as apocryphal (gospels and letters) and are available and found just for serendipity.

And you could now: those apocryphal books were considered filled with made-up tales, and were despised by those who do not believe them. DOES THAT make the apocryphal books TRUE? Of course that doesn't!!!

As far as a book being considered man made-up, despised and not believed does not make that book true. Nor for your Bible neither for any other religious sacred book. Your argument is flawed.

    > I cannot even begin to tell you how many times
    > I have heard atheists say that God’s Word is
    > not infallible proof of His existence.

I can make you hear this just one time more:

    * Why Bible is infallible? Because it is God's Word.
    * Why God's Word is real? Because God exist.
    * Why God exist? Because the Bible proofs it.
    * Why Bible proofs it? Because Bible is infallible.
    * Why Bible is infallible? Because...

Do you recognize the pattern? That is called a circular reasoning. Every time you try to proof something quoting the Bible, including the Bible itself of God's existence, anybody who understand logic and truth does cry!

And quoting the Bible to proof the Bible is not a circular reasoning... is simply self-delusion; Self deluded people call that faith.

    And REMEMBER:

In another post you said if you absolutely proof God is real and the Bible is True and Infallible, no atheists will believe on it. I said you were wrong, because and absolute proof will convince EVERYONE (including of course atheists) and I am still waiting for your proof.

But until you present your absolute proof. PLEASE stop blaming atheist for not believing your beliefs, and PLEASE stop blaming sin (on anyone) for that.

The real reason is that nobody (including yourself) has presented that absolute proof you claimed.
