"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

Love...Does Not Delight in Evil but Rejoices With the Truth (12/14/2010)

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..." -1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Day 5

God says that true love never delights in evil but rejoices with the truth. That means that we are not to find pleasure in the sinful things of this world, but we are to glory in the truths of His Word. Mark 12:30-31 tells us, "And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” If we are to truly obey these two commandments, we will live according to His Word, "hating even the garment defiled by the flesh" (Jude 1:23).
