If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. -2 Chronicles 7:14
Be honest. How often do you pray for our nation? How often do you lift up the leaders of this country in prayer? If you're like me, you're ashamed to answer those questions. All of our failures are prayer failures. However, God said, "If My people...will...pray..." Are you praying?
Aren't you thankful for the promises of God? And aren't you eternally gratefully that He keeps every single one of those promises? He promises that He will heal the land of those that cry out to Him in prayer.
Friends, our nation is in crisis. I saw a shirt the other day that said, "We need God back in America." Well, some years ago, Adrian Rogers said, "Americans have not only reached the bottom of the garbage pail, but they have eaten all the way through." This nation doesn't just need to believe in God, but they need to trust in His Son to save them. The Bible says the demons believe and tremble. However, they have not put their trust in Him. Not one thing can save this country except the blood of Jesus.
Perhaps you are earnestly praying for revival in our nation. But are you preparing for it? Adrian Rogers once said something like this: "Let's have revival in America. And if we can't have revival in America, let's have revival in Tennessee. And if we can't have revival in Tennessee, let's have revival in Memphis. And if we can't have revival in Memphis, let's have revival in Bellevue. And if we can't have revival in Bellevue, let's have rivival in you."
Adrian Rogers was right! We can't have revival in America, in our state, in our hometown, in our church, our even our own homes until we have revival in our own lives.
Do you want the healing rain of God to flood our nation? Do you want to see our entire nation set of fire for God? Do you want to see marriages revived? Homes made whole? Broken hearts mended and made brand new? Well, are you preparing for it? God is eagerly waiting to set our country free. He's ready. But are we?
