"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

Challenge for Today (7/22/2010)

The following was the "action point" in today's e-mail devotional I received from Dr. Adrian Rogers: "Ask the Lord to heal our land, forgiving the iniquities of the wicked by bringing salvation to their souls."

Our nation truly is in a crisis. However, I was reminded of 2 Chronicles 7:14, which says, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

God said, "If My people," meaning born-again believers; not the lost. The only way we will ever have revival in our nation is if we first have revival in each of us. If we want to see a change in our nation, we must rise to the challenge and pray like we've never prayed before. After all, all of our failures are prayer failures.
