Today I am asking the big question that I promised to ask about four months ago when I first started this blog. Are you satisfied with your relationship with God? Well...are you? Most importantly, are you satisfied with where you are going to spend eternity?
The Bible says in Revelation 21:8 that all liars, idolaters, murderers, and unbelieving will have their part in the lake of fire. If you have created an image of God in your mind that doesn't reflect the Word of God, then you are guilty of idolatry. And 1 John 3:15 says, "Whoever hates his brother is a murderer." So, if you've ever hated anyone, you are also guilty of murder. However, the last one may be a little more difficult to understand.
You may say, "I believe that Jesus lived 2,000 years ago, and died on the cross." And that may be. But if you were about to jump out of an airplane, you wouldn't just believe that the parachute could save you. No, you would put it on. That's what the Bible means when it talks about believing in Christ--to trust Him with your life.
So, if you were to die in your sins, you would spend eternity in Hell. However, that is not God's well. You were not created for Hell; you were created to serve God, and love Him with your life. However, you made the choice to sin against Him; therefore, you must pay the price for your sins.
The good news is, though, that Someone else paid your fine for you 2,000 years ago. His name is Jesus. God gave His only Son that you might be set free. The Bible tells us that all the weight of your sin was placed on His shoulders--He paid the price for you.
There's only two things you have to do to be saved:
1) You must turn from all sin.
2) You must place all of your trust in Jesus as your Savior--like you would a parachute.
So what are you waiting for? You never know when you could take your last breath. Please, come to Jesus before it's eternally too late for you.
To be continued...
