"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

What Could They Do? (9/30/2010)

Have you ever met someone that was overly passionate about a certain cause; however, that cause really wasn't so great, and even went completely against God's word? We all have, right? Well, what is your immediate thought about those kinds of people? If you're anything like me, it's hard for you to love those people and to reach out to them. Am I right? Often times we just want to say that those people will never change and go on with our lives. However, God says that those people can change.

Second Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." God has taught me to look at the obnoxiously liberal people as exactly what they are--they are lost and in desperate need of a Savior. They may be passionate about mocking God and His people now, but what would they be like if they were to come into a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? Well, all that enthusiasm toward the things of this world would be transformed and then focused toward God and his eternal purpose for their lives.

God has a purpose and a plan for every single person on this earth. He wants to use them for His glory. Take Paul for example. He described himself as the chief of sinners--he persecuted and killed Christians. However, God had another plan. And, in the end, Paul became one of the greatest preachers to ever live.

There is absolutely no one that God cannot use for His glory. So keep reaching out and praying for the lost--even those that seem like they will never change. There is absolutely nothing our God cannot do!
