I just found out about the Goodmans a few days ago. Man, what a legacy! I know their style of music isn't listened to or sung much nowadays. However, their songs are still incredibly powerful. Because, although style changes, the Word of God never changes.
The Goodmans did what they did because that's what the Lord wanted them to do. I truly believe that songs that are based on God's Word alone will last forever. And this is one of those songs.
I especially love this song because it says something that we rarely hear nowadays. It says, "until the storm passes by." Too often we just want God to calm the storm. However, this song says, "Lord, I don't care if the storms rage wild as long as You stay here with me."
Praying God uses this in a great and mighty way in your life.
