"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

Get Out of the Way (4/29/2010)

Have you ever asked God to use you to further His Kingdom? Or maybe you've heard someone else tell someone to pray that God would use them. Well, you can pray from now until eternity, but if that's your prayer you're going to get nowhere fast.

You see, God wants to use you. He didn't just create you for no reason. However, in order for Him to use you, you've got to get out of the way. He can't use you until you have completely surrendered your life over to Him. If you're still here for you, He can't use you. He can only use you when you realize that you're here for Him.

So stop asking people to pray that He'll use you. Instead, start asking people to pray that you'll step out of the way and let Him use you. There's some things that God leaves up to us, and this is one of them.
