"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

God's Not Finished Yet (10/21/2010)

A dear friend of many passed away last night. I was on my way to lunch today when I got a text from a friend saying that a friend from high school had a heart attach and died last night. He was only eighteen years old.

A lot went through my mind at that moment--a lot still is going through my mind. However, the one thing that has stuck with me throughout the entire day has been that God is not finished with him yet. He may no longer be with us here in this sin-cursed world, but his legacy lives on. God will use his story to reach many for Christ and to encourage others who already know Him.

I know where he is. We will see him again. But I pray that his story would be a reminder to all that we never know when our time will come to leave this world. We must be ready...we must live for Him.

Please keep the Shank family in your prayers. I cannot even begin to imagine what they are going through at this time.
