"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

It's All About Jesus (3/24/2010)
About a month or so ago, someone commented on one of Ray Comfort's blog posts and asked if he ever had a conversation that did not involve Jesus, the Bible, or sin. It's almost a month later and I still can't get that comment out of my mind. To me, that comment was obviously made by someone who views Christianity as a religion. If that particular person viewed Christianity as a relationship with the living God, they would have asked why Ray doesn't talk about the things of God more often. You see, we were created for His glory, not our own; therefore our lives are actually being wasted if we don't live for Him. We should never be satisfied with our relationship with God (I'm sure I'll go into more detail about that in a future post). Ray lives the way he does because he realizes the reality of why we are here. Have you ever thought about who you are compared to who God is? Are you thankful for your salvation? Do you want others to be saved as well? When we think about who we are compared to who God is, it should make us want to give Him everything we have. When you realize exactly who He is and that He is worthy, you should want to surround yourself with situations that will cause you to grow in your relationship with Him. And if you are saved, then you can't help but want others to be saved as well. He died for you, so why shouldn't you live for Him?
