"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

The Oprah Mentality (5/4/2010)

Sadly, this is the mindset of many people nowadays. I had a college professor that believed the exact same thing.

Perhaps you believe this too. However, you may go further to say that where a person goes after death depends on what that person believed during their life on Earth. That is what my teacher believes.

That mentality, however, is wrong. It also goes against commonsense. Commonsense tells us that, if there is an afterlife , there has to be a definite place to spend it.

Secondly, there are the people (like Oprah) that say, "My god wouldn't send anyone to Hell." Well, of course your god wouldn't send anyone to Hell because he can't send anyone to Hell--your god is just a figment of your imagination. This is idolatry--creating a god to suite your lifestyle.

You see, everyone wants something to believe in. So, if they don't want to change their lifestyle to suite God, they change their view of God to suite their lifestyle.

John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" The Bible tells us that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). The only way to Heaven is by turning from your sin and trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Lastly, you noticed at the end of the video that the Christian lady said, "But it's not religion." This is because Christianity isn't religion, but reality. This woman understood that this world doesn't need religion, but a relationship with the living God.

If it wasn't for God, none of us would be here. He created us for His glory and His honor, not our own. He created us to love Him and worship Him, but instead we spat in His face.

He could have decided to give us all what we deserve--eternity in Hell. But instead, He sent His only Son to suffer and die on the cross for our sins.

He has left it up to you to chose which road you will take. However, only one leads to Heaven. Please chose your eternal destination wisely. Whether you believe it or not, one day you will stand before God and answer for your life. If you did not trust His Son as Savior, the Bible says that He will say, "Depart from me; I never knew you!"

Jesus is the Truth and the Life and the Way!
