"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

What Would You Like to Hear?

If you have any serious topics you would like to see me write about concerning God and the Bible, please let me know. You can leave your suggestions as a comment below. I don't know how many topics I will receive. I could receive hundreds or even zero. But no matter how many I receive, I will write about the topics you give me until I run out--that is unless there is something else I feel compelled to write about during that time as well.

I look forward to seeing the topics that you come up with!

~Tommy
Psalm 145:2
Deuteronomy 6:5-9

  1. I have become more acutely aware from Peter's books and after that from Paul's writings that suffering for the gospel is the call for Christians. This is not a very acceptable topic to send out to the public, and in fact, probably should be reserved for mature Christians. According to Peter, those who suffer for the gospel receive blessing and is commendable before God. After relearning this in Peter's book, then reading Paul's work, I became more sensitive to the number of times that Paul addresses suffering not only on his part but on the part of those to whom he writes. The need for salvation is not the need for suffering and probably shouldn't be addressed publicly. (Hope I spelled publicly correctly. Burt

    1. Great topic, and one that I feel should most definitely be addressed publicly. If there's any part of God's Word that shouldn't be addressed publicly, I don't know about it. Sorry I didn't get to this sooner, but my job has kept me from blogging as much as I would like; however, I plan on writing about this soon, so keep checking back to see the new post. Thanks again for sharing!
