"The key to understanding the Bible is to look for Jesus in the Bible. Jesus is the hero of the Bible. If you read the Bible and don't find Jesus, re-read it! The Bible has one hero, His name is Jesus; one villain, that is Satan; one problem, that is sin; one solution, that is salvation. That is what the Bible is all about." -Dr. Adrian Rogers

Music (3/30/2010)

If you know me personally, you know that I am a huge fan of music. Well, Christian/Gospel music that is. Christian/Gospel music is unlike any other genre of music out there. But why is that? The words to Christian/Gospel songs have meaning and are life-changing because they have God behind them. I especially enjoy listening to songs that I know were written and are being sung by people that absolutely love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Think about this quote from Kari Jobe, "It's not about music and it's not about just writing songs, but it's about connecting people to the heart of God." Sure, it's possible that secular music artists might do what they do for your entertainment, but Christian music artists do what they do because they love God and they want to honor and glorify Him. Christian/Gospel songs are also extremely encouraging. I've found that no matter what's going on in my life, God will bring a song to my mind that will just make my day. Not to mention the fact that you always have songs stuck in your head that are honoring and glorify to God.
